Monitor: Chevy Chase picked up for drunk driving

LAWSUITS
On Feb. 23, a New Jersey grand jury is set to hear the testimony of the 17-year-old girl who claimed she had sexual relations two years ago with Frasier's Kelsey Grammer, 39. The case is under investigation by the Somerset County prosecutor's office. Said the actor's spokesman: ''These malicious claims are an obvious attempt to malign Mr. Grammer's character for financial gain.''

RECOVERING
Wheel of Fortune cohost Vanna White, 37, after a miscarriage. White and her husband, George SantoPietro, 48, have a 7-month-old son, Nicholas...Zsa Zsa Gabor, 77, suffered a concussion on Jan. 26 after she was struck in the head by a wooden security gate outside a Beverly Hills drugstore. ''She had to cancel her upcoming trip to Europe because she still has a headache and an upset stomach,'' says a representative for the actress.

ARRESTED
Chevy Chase, 51, on charges of drunk driving in L.A. on Jan. 26. Chase spent a night in a Beverly Hills jail after a police officer said he saw him straddling lanes in his 1991 BMW, rapidly accelerating, and driving more than 60 mph in a 25 mph zone. ''He cooperated and there was nothing unusual,'' says Lieut. Frank Salcido of the Beverly Hills Police Dept. Chase, due in court March 2, had no comment.

DEATHS
David Cole, 32, Grammy-winning record producer and one of the C's of C+C Music Factory, of complications from spinal meningitis on Jan. 24 in New York City.
