Stevie Wonder Conversation Peace (Motown) Warning: Do not attempt to play this through wall-mounted speakers. Wonder, on his long-awaited return, has the bass so pumped that vibration is definitely a factor. Other than that concession to Jeep culture, Wonder pursues his usual organic approach to soul music, hewing to the sweet groove. He still possesses that nimble, resonant voice, R&B's most imitated instrument. And he still constructs soaring, contrapuntal harmonies. But the song selection here, while frisky, is thin, making this comeback small Wonder. B- -David Hiltbrand
