'SISTERS' SOJOURN

Things have been going relatively well for Carol Saline and Sharon J. Wohlmuth lately. Their surprise hit, Sisters, has spent nine weeks on the nonfiction list, currently sitting pretty at No. 5, with 318,000 copies in print after eight pressruns. The book, featuring photos of famous and mere mortal female sibs, was initially rejected by major publishers, then picked up by Philly's small Running Press. Recently, though, it was big-league Doubleday that came running-paying $2 million plus for the pair's next two books.
