Created by the Hudlin brothers (House Party, Boomerang), this anthology is a sort of multiethnic Twilight Zone: three fantastical morality tales from minority viewpoints. The stories range from savagely satirical (aliens offer an end to poverty and pollution in exchange for the Earth's black population) to grittily tragic (a mysterious messenger delivers a liberating gun to an abused young ghetto wife). In all three, the Hudlins get a tad too didactic. But then, so did Rod Serling. Their ideas are nevertheless potent enough to make you wish this cable movie were the start of a regular series.
