PUPPET MOTEL (Voyager, CD-ROM for Mac, $39.95) Although it contains more than an hour of music by Laurie Anderson and features the performance artist giving a tour of her current stage set, this isn't one of those cozy ''Let me take you by the hand and show you my world'' music CD-ROMs-it's one in which getting to the actual ''material'' is half the fun. Anderson and designer Hsin-Chien Huang have constructed a true cyberspace environment-for concept, see title-that suggests Myst as reimagined by Fritz Lang and Rene Magritte.
