BAD BOYS (1995)

BAD BOYS (R) It's like a series of cliches exploding in your face. Martin Lawrence and Will Smith team up as renegade cops who joyride through Miami, talking trash and brandishing impressively large guns. The two are winningly smooth comic actors. Smith, especially, holds the camera with his quicksilver delivery of lines like, ''You're driving almost slow enough to drive Miss Daisy!'' If only there were a few more lines like it. Bad Boys is the buddy thriller as higher noise-the insult humor mashed into gunplay mashed into a scene of someone getting tossed through an aquarium. C- ( 271, April 21) -OG
