Wide Eyed and Ignorant

EW's GRADE
A-

A House Wide Eyed and Ignorant (Radioactive) The catchiest choruses on the fourth album by these brassy Irish folk-popsters raise gooseflesh the way the Pogues and Violent Femmes could in their prime. And the deceptively simple odes to the awesomeness of love (''Curious,'' ''The Comedy Is Over'') don't merely cut to the bone, they mingle with the marrow. A- -Doug Brod
