Even though it features kid sleuths straight out of The Wonderful World of Disney, Ice Cream Man succeeds as entertaining trash, with detached heads in waffle cones and bits of cornea in the rocky road. Coming off like the last of the Lollipop Kids, veteran video star Howard leers and simpers through an amazing performance as a psychotic frozen-treats freak. Meanwhile, the nonlinear plot goes beyond senselessness and ends up being impressive. If that isn't enough, there's also a creepy sanitarium sequence, a great diaphragm sight gag, and a cast that includes The People's Court host Doug Llewellyn. B
