This sixth album reunites the Rasta-core icons with each other and with producer Ric Ocasek, who helmed 1983's masterful Rock for Light. The Brains' ingenious trademark fusion of disparate elements is tempered here, with several refined reggae and metal (rather than hardcore) leanings. Although it lacks Light's frenetic, skanky edge, Love's accessibility should reel in a new post-Green Day audience. A-
