We discuss ''House Arrest,'' ''White Squall,'' and ''Dracula: Dead and Loving It''

Reeling with laughter: Is Jamie Lee Curtis hooked on comedy? In the soon-to-wrap House Arrest, she plays a mom whose kids lock her in the cellar with her estranged husband. Next is a British reunion with A Fish Called Wanda buds Kevin Kline, John Cleese, and Michael Palin for the tentatively titled Death Fish — a comedy that is not a Wanda sequel.

Ship-shape? In White Squall, Jeff Bridges skippers a sailing-school schooner, which sinks in a storm, forcing captain and teen crew into a battle with nature. The drama is now shooting in the Caribbean with Ridley Scott at the helm.

Down for the Count: Mel Brooks goes for the jugular with Dracula: Dead and Loving It, filming in L.A., with Leslie Nielsen as you-know-who and Brooks as an undoubtedly hammy Van Helsing.
