Alex Cox's bent biopic, Sid and Nancy about Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious and his girlfriend, Nancy Spungen, remains one of the most original films of the '80s, an unlikely and weirdly romantic mix of black comedy and realistic tragedy.
