Omar braids subtle sambas, rare grooves, and funk rhythms with jazz harmonies that recall mid-'70s Stevie Wonder on For Pleasure. The guest rappers aren't worthy, but Omar's lyrics are: sophisticated reflections on London's social woes. It's a complex yet danceable sound, heads above the bump and grind of contemporary R&B. B+
