Jeanne Tripplehorn and Laura Linney compete -- The two actresses and roommates both have action-figure dolls this summer

Though Waterworld star Jeanne Tripplehorn has a career edge over old friend and ex-roommate Laura Linney, now just breaking through with her Congo leading role, Linney brags that she's ahead of Tripplehorn in merchandising. ''They're working on action-figure dolls of the two of us,'' she says. ''But mine would beat hers — I have an ultra-laser cannon. Jeanne's only has a spear shooter.'' Linney doesn't know how far ahead she is: Kenner Products recently canceled Tripplehorn's doll.
