Night Work

Natasha Henstridge dreams about Jim Carrey -- The model-turned-actress discusses her nighttime roles

Everyone wants to work with Batman Forever's Jim Carrey. But Species star Natasha Henstridge, 20, literally dreams about it. ''I've dreamt of him three nights in a row,'' says Henstridge, the Canadian-born model who plays an alien-human hybrid in the sci-fi thriller. ''My dreams were about sex and how sexy he is.'' Doesn't Henstridge know that Carrey is spoken for? Sure she does. She auditioned for Kelsey Grammer's Down Periscope right alongside Carrey's girlfriend, Dumb and Dumber costar Lauren Holly. But the fledgling actress isn't letting a little competition get in the way of her reverie. ''In my dream I was talking to Lauren,'' says Henstridge. ''She wasn't jealous, just a little bit ticked. She was really mature about it.'' Of course she was: Back in the real world, Holly got the role in Down Periscope, too.
