The big bonus for those seduced by the art-house hit Il Postino (The Postman) are the stars who recite the Pablo Neruda love poems that share space here with sambas and pastorales. It's easy to tell the best tracks: The music evaporates in awe of readings by Glenn Close and Miranda Richardson. Sleepy Ethan Hawke's whisper and Andy Garcia's mumble work unexpectedly well, and Madonna definitely understands the defensive, passionate lyric she delivers. Plus there's wit just in hearing Julia Roberts read, ''Everyone pries under your sheets, everyone interferes with your loving.'' B
