The Sci-Fi Channel's promotional page features photos, audio clips, and a program guide

A look at The Dominion

This promotional page for the Sci-Fi Channel has all the features Web surfers have come to expect: downloadable photographs and audio clips, descriptions of shows such as The Twilight Zone, and links to other sci-fi related sites. The Dominion's real reason for being is its listings of Sci-Fi Channel programs, lovingly updated to tell you what's playing at the hour and minute you log on. This isn't an innovation — ESPN, among other cable programmers, has also been posting its daily schedule on the Web — but I found it heartening to learn that the channel best known for interminable reruns of Quantum Leap occasionally offers more adventurous fare (the Japanimation movie Akira, for example).
