Tobe Hooper's Night Terrors (1995)

While it was inevitable that someone would merge the sensibilities of the two video Kings, Zalman and Stephen, the project shouldn't necessarily have been attempted by the stars and director of 1976's Eaten Alive. Robert Englund takes a break from his Freddy Krueger duties to play a suave descendant of the Marquis de Sade and also shows up as the Marquis himself, for reasons that may have made sense in the original script but now only serve to further pad Night Terrors' already meandering storyline.
