On tour, I'm reading Denis Hamill's House on Fire, which will be coming out in about four months, about a fireman whose wife disappears quite unexpectedly with their little girl. I just finished Montana 1948, by Larry Watson. It's about sexual abuse on a Native American reservation. I recently read Under Ground, by Michael Daly, about a New York City subway cop accused of taking money he didn't take. It's a very strong novel, a very interesting look at life. I also just finished Lolita, by Nabokov. It's spectacular writing and even more spectacular when you consider that he didn't write it in his native language. I mean, I can barely crank one out in my own native tongue.
