French Kiss (1995)

EW's GRADE
B-

Details Movie Rated: PG-13; Genre: Comedy; With: Kevin Kline and Meg Ryan

Coming straight off the conveyor belt where robots assemble air-whipped romances about men and women who meet in dreamy locales and are the last people in the world to recognize they're in love, French Kiss offers nothing you wouldn't expect. But if the floaty charm of its stars, Kevin Kline as a suave thief (since he steals for a noble cause, it's okay) and Meg Ryan as a jilted girl next door who goes to Paris to win back her lackluster beau (the lackluster Timothy Hutton), didn't have enough helium to loft an expensive evening at the movies for you, try it now. On video, its price is right, considering that by the next morning you won't remember a thing. B-
