Ballbreaker (1995)

EW's GRADE
B

Details Lead Performance: AC/DC; Genre: Metal

This Aussie hard-rock quintet's lusty adolescent male fantasies and equally adenoidal riffs are simple pleasures that have stood the test of time. The band sounds as if it has been cryogenically frozen since the late '70s, and the crunchy bare-bones production of hirsute wunderkind Rick Rubin does little to break the spell. Ballbreaker is moronically retrogressive, but utterly enjoyable. B
