Island girl: That's Claire Danes, who's been seen around Nantucket, Mass., while filming To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday. Danes plays a teen conspiring to help her father (Peter Gallagher) recover from the death of her mother (Michelle Pfeiffer). The busy 16-year-old Danes can also be spotted in the current How to Make an American Quilt and November's Home for the Holidays. He'll Take Manhattan: Meanwhile on a bigger island, Q&A director Sidney Lumet takes another peek under the urban rug with Night Falls on Manhattan, his 29th feature to shoot on location in New York City. The drama stars Andy Garcia and Richard Dreyfuss as a DA and a defense attorney locking horns over a morass of crime and corruption. It won't be all angst, though -- Lena Olin will be supplying some romance.
