When last sighted, captive killer whale Willy was joyously escaping to the open sea. Now he's frolicking with his family in pristine waters about to be fouled by a leaking oil tanker. Meanwhile, on dry land, his kid pal Jesse (Jason James Richter) is meeting his long-lost half brother, having his first romance, and outsmarting sleazeballs who want to turn Willy's siblings into water park attractions. Though that's enough subplot for at least two sequels, Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home somehow pulls them all together for a crowd-pleasing finale. Video slightly cramps the style of this expansively scenic adventure, but it doesn't diminish the whale-size emotional sweep. A-
