Post-O.J., Spike Lee's brilliantly innovative meditation on America's racial divide, Do The Right Thing, is more relevant than ever, and this deluxe three-disc set is the way to see it. Along with a breathtaking wide-screen transfer, there are fascinating bonuses: audio recollections by the film's creative team (cinematographer Ernest Dickerson's tales of turning budget restrictions into creative assets are particularly illuminating), a making-of documentary, and home videos director Lee took on the set. Side 5's supplemental audio tracks can be safely avoided, however, unless you really need to hear two yes, two running commentaries by Public Enemy's Chuck D.
