Being a doctor in the real world takes steel and a steady hand, but in this cyber-sick ward all it takes is a lot of patience. As a rookie med student, you review a patient's chart and use simplistic procedures (checking blood pressure, taking pulse) to diagnose and treat a host of illnesses and injuries. But the healing comes quick and painless: There is no actual Q&A with the patients; nearly everything you need is already on the charts. And it doesn't take a brain surgeon to click through a series of multiple-choice options, even as the so-called emergencies get more serious. If you get off on playing doctor, you're best advised to watch television's ER, because this Emergency Room makes you want to pull the plug. C-
