Physics may be the most captivating, dramatic, and mysterious of sciences. But the developers of this mixed-up disc just don't get it. While it includes a useful time line of physics' heroes, from Archimedes to Heisenberg, this blandly written program should have been more than graphics and words — it should have given us slides, video, anything to illustrate the science's vitality. While Larry Gonick's illustrations and animation are amusing, The Cartoon Guide to Physics doesn't know whether it wants to be Albert Einstein or Albert Brooks. C
