It's ironic that this provocative film about a reversal of racial stereotypes would spawn a soundtrack filled with such utterly mundane music. Hootie & the Blowfish exhume a Roy Orbison hit, while Dave Matthews Band, Blues Traveler, and others proffer songs to suit the tastes of the easy-to-please frat-boy crowd. B-
