Apollo 13 rocketed to No. 1 on both the sales and rentals charts its first week on tape -- not a bad second orbit for the blockbuster, which so far has pulled in $172 million in theaters. Back on earth, the surprise $81 million box office hit Congo, which in any other week probably would have been the chart's 300-pound gorilla, was eclipsed at No. 5; but it bested the week's only other top 10 rental debut, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. Meanwhile, audiences remain gun-shy about Keanu Reeves' post-Speed work: His cyberthriller Johnny Mnemonic crashed at No. 16.
