The troubled, truculent R&B diva never sounded richer or more expressive than on this album, completed just before her suicide. ''It's Not About You (It's About Me),'' which Hyman coauthored, is her strongest number -- and the most painful to hear. With lyrics like ''I've got to go, I need to be free, I've had enough,'' her intentions, in retrospect, seem clear. B
