Though no one has been officially cast, producer David Permut says his dream crew would include Rodney Dangerfield as the Captain, RuPaul as Julie, Ice-T as Isaac, and Susan Powter as (surprise!) an aerobics instructor. Boat docks in 1995. * Developing: Calling all Robby the Robot fans. The 1956 sci-fi film Forbidden Planet-an updating of Shakespeare's The Tempest-is being further updated by director Irvin Kershner (The Empire Strikes Back) and Stan Winston, who created the live-action dinos for Jurassic Park. * Shooting: Nicolas Cage, Dana Carvey, and Jon Lovitz combine comedic forces as the three Firpo brothers, parolees who pull a bank job in It Happened in Paradise.
