Luck of Our Own

EW's GRADE
B

Details Lead Performance: Dale Daniel; Genre: Country

Dale Daniel Luck of Our Own (BNA) Newcomer Dale Daniel may sport Reba McEntire's red hair, but she scores points on her debut album by not being a clone of country's leading divas. Despite tame arrangements that refuse to let any of the snarling blues or rock songs fully out of the cage, Daniel proves her pluck as a traditional singer as well as a progressive songwriter. With a penchant for both jazz and gospel, she strides the divide with one foot in Saturday night and the other in Sunday morning. B -AN
