Celeb Specials If CBS' How'd They Do That? is a little too hard-hitting for you, then maybe you're the target audience for Secrets Revealed (ABC, Feb. 23, 10-11 p.m.). William Devane anchors this hour of useless information, which promises to uncover the truth behind such mind-boggling questions as, Why doesn't Betty Rubble have her own Flintstones vitamin? And why do hot dogs come in packs of 8 but hot dog buns come in packs of 10? (Hey, if I told you the answers now, there would be no reason for you to watch the show.)
Speaking of secrets, the Jackson Family Honors (NBC, Feb. 22, 9-11 p.m) will be Michael Jackson's first public performance since he paid millions to hush up his juvenile accuser. This tribute to fragrance magnate Elizabeth Taylor and Motown mogul Berry Gordy is set to tape at Las Vegas' MGM Grand on Feb. 19 and also features siblings Janet, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, Randy, and Rebbie. Black sheep La Toya reportedly plans to crash the event-her invitation must have gotten lost in the mail.
Supermodels The travails of fashion-runway denizens are explored for the 10,639th time in Christy Turlington Backstage (Lifetime, Feb. 27, 10-11 p.m.), a documentary trailing Christian Slater's gamine ex-gal pal through the presentation of the Spring '94 collections in Paris, Milan, and New York. Designers include Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, and Gianni Versace, and Turlington's fellow goddesses Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer are also glimpsed hard at work. A highlight: Moss hops on Turlington's back to play chicken with Naomi Campbell.
Choice Reruns As if Ed McMahon's garish tuxedos and the TV-spokesmodel competition weren't entertaining enough, old episodes of Star Search (E!, weekdays, 8-9 a.m.) give viewers the extra pleasure of occasionally spotting actual pre-fame celebrities schmoozing with Johnny's former "Yes!" man. Sinbad does his stand- up routine in a 1985 installment airing Feb. 16. One day later, Wayne's World babe Tia Carrere pops up-not as an aspiring spokesmodel but in the acting category, which, tragically, was jettisoned early in the show's run.
