The Summer House (Unrated) Joan Plowright and Jeanne Moreau turn this slight BBC production into a jolly lesson about how two great old theatrical broads can liven up an arty domestic drama. Moreau plays a knowing houseguest who saves a glum young woman from a miserable marriage to her cloddish neighbor. Plowright is the groom-to-be's mum. The whole movie's worth the scene where she and Moreau knock back whiskeys and have a good giggle. B ( 209, Feb. 11) -LS
