Shadz Of Lingo A View to a Kill (EMI/ERG) Former EPMD frontman Erick Sermon coproduced this album with Rowdy Records chief Dallas Austin, and it has a raw exuberance that's hard to resist thanks to high-speed, gravelly-voiced raps. What's missing? The slow, loping punch of the bass-heavy funk style for which Sermon is best known. Some of the beats are so airy they seem in danger of floating away. B
