Billy Pilgrim (1994)

EW's GRADE
A-

Details Lead Performance: Billy Pilgrim

Kurt Vonnegut's peripatetic hero is reincarnated as an Atlanta duo whose instrumentation, harmonies, and earnestness could earn them the title Indigo Boys-if not for their deliciously wry wit. Lyrics that suggest Dramamine and Aristotle as insomnia cures, and a , charmingly dirty little ditty extolling a lover's charms, negate the potential for stuffiness here, leaving only the evocative flair of poetry and some awfully catchy tunes.
