Four guys (Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr., Stephen Dorff, Jeremy Piven) on the way to a boxing match take a detour into a bombed-out stretch of Chicago and get caught in a nightmare in Judgment Night. Having witnessed a merciless execution by a drug lord (Denis Leary, a supercreepy presence), they flee for their lives. This is sturdy, well-crafted, compact, anxiety-provoking stuff with some nail-biting suspense an involving B picture from the old school that ought to find on small screens the audience it should have gotten in theaters.
