After years of trying for a top 10 hit, McCoy's got one with the title cut from No Doubt About It, and that's scary: If radio thinks this blander-than-generic ballad (off this equally snooze-inducing album) is the future of country, we might as well just move to the middle of the road right now. And you know what happens there — things get the life squashed out of them. C-
