This is a one-joke movie: High school nerd returns from the dead to take his dream girl to the prom. As told by director Bob Balaban, who also helmed the engaging gross-out horror comedy Parents, it's a pretty funny joke, at least for the first 40 minutes. After that, My Boyfriend's Back starts losing steam quicker than amiable zombie lead Lowery loses body parts. C
