The Fugitive hit video charts this week with the impact of a train wreck. The Oscar-nominated thriller ran away with the No. 1 spot on the rentals chart and No. 2 on the sales front. Of course, it's no coincidence that the video has shown up in stores just in time for the March 21 Academy Awards ceremony: The $183 million (so far) box office hit was originally slated to be released the day after the awards, but its arrival was pushed forward 12 days to boost its profile among awards-night viewers. Even if the film fails to garner any of the seven Oscars it's up for, rest assured that with its $24.96 price tag (it will sell in most stores for less), The Fugitive will stay on the Most Wanted list for weeks to come.
