Lead Performance: Jimmie Vaughan

Hopes were high for this solo debut by Fabulous Thunderbirds alumnus Jimmie Vaughan, especially after Family Style, his inspired 1990 collaboration with his late brother, Stevie Ray. Unfortunately, nothing here measures up to those heights with Strange Pleasure (Epic). Jimmie's vocals and guitar playing are strangely colorless, like a slow Tuesday night at the local bar. C
