Before becoming pop geniuses, Fleetwood Mac was a bohemian blues band, but little here suggests it was a very exciting one. Peter Green churns some evocative guitar gush, and idols Willie Dixon and Buddy Guy help out on Fleetwood Mac's In Chicago 1969 album. Yet even the upbeat jump-joint tunes are soaked in a rigid reverence that adds up to one dull history class.
