A hokey live-action rip-off of Beauty and the Beast, in which a princess falls for a young king who has been turned into a polar bear by a witch. In The Polar Bear King, the mechanical talking bear-prince is a hoot, but neither the story, the characters, nor the setting is terribly imaginative. Grade: C
