It's Murphy Brown's worst nightmare: 90 minutes of Barry Manilow crooning his inimitable ear candy for an adoring British audience. Except for a couple of razzle-dazzle numbers (''Avenue C,'' ''Copacabana'') and the inevitable singalong on ''Can't Smile Without You,'' his Greatest Hits and Then Some is one long close-up of Manilow's blow-dried helmet and glistening eyes. For Manilowians, it's exquisite; for everyone else, excruciating. C-
