Sweet Sickness? They have got to be kidding. David Martineau (Gerard Depardieu) is psychotically fixated on an old married sweetheart (Dominique Laffin), and Juliette (Miou-Miou) is in turn obsessed with him, but he's not in the least interested. Director Claude Miller mistakes bleakness and brooding for art, and the script provides for no audience identification with Depardieu's fatal attraction, making this an unbelievably dreary experience.
