As the Daytime Emmys get handed out on May 25, I'd like to present my own awards for unrecognized soap achievements. The Get-a-Coach Award goes to the usually top-notch Nicolas Coster (As the World Turns' Eduardo) for his woeful Italian accent-what a turnoff! The Prince-Is-Right Award, to Vanessa Marcil (General Hospital's Brenda), featured in the rocker's video ''The Most Beautiful Girl in the World.'' The If-You-Believe-This-I've-Got-a-Bridge-to-Sell Award, to Y&R head writer Kay Alden, who told Soap Digest that her daughter, Conci, 12, got the part of Heather solely on merit. The Come-Back-All-Is-Forgiven Award, to Hunter Tylo (The Bold & The Beautiful's Taylor), who quit to do a miniseries — B&B is missing her heat.
