Jacqui's Dilemma

Parents would be well-advised to watch Jacqui's Dilemma, a fact-stuffed dramatization of the problems faced by a pregnant 16-year-old girl. Jacqui, played by Melissa Thompson, faces the camera and talks to us about her fears and doubts; there are also interviews with real-life teens and health-care professionals (among them, Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders), who talk about what it's like to be a sexually active adolescent in the '90s. Dilemma cops out at the end in the usual way (is there anything that scares a network more than abortion?), but until then, it's an informative eye-opener. A-
