Andie MacDowell plays a dumb-bunny housewife who turns brilliant detective when her rat of a husband mysteriously dies abroad. Liam Neeson is a globe-trotting altruist whose main function is to gaze at our heroine with woozy admiration. With any luck, the success of Four Weddings and a Funeral and Schindler's List means these two can afford to be choosier about scripts. D
