Take one part Romancing the Stone, one part The Third Man, boil into an lumpy mass, and serve warmed over: That's the recipe for Deception, a tired romantic adventure. Andie MacDowell plays a dumb-bunny housewife who turns brilliant detective when her rat of a husband mysteriously dies abroad. Liam Neeson is a globe-trotting altruist whose main function is to gaze at our heroine with woozy admiration. With any luck, the success of Four Weddings and a Funeraland Schindler's List means these two can afford to be choosier about scripts. D
