Only a Judas can deny the ear-tugging appeal of gospel's promising young voices on Join the Band. With guest stars Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Queen Latifah, the doo-woppin' choirboys of Take 6 are divine, except when they give in to the temptation to hip-hop on a few tracks. Their harmonizing virtuosity on pop/gospel tracks like ''My Friend'' and ''It's Gonna Rain'' will enchant the earthbound as surely as the heavenly seraphim. B+
