Mom used to call those lint balls hitching sweater rides ''fuzzies,'' and the Boston-based foursome Fuzzy composes swell pop melodies for this self-titled album that are as appealing as its handle. On songs like ''Almond,'' Lemonheads drummer David Ryan taps to pleasant guitar riffs that fade to feedback static, and the ardent waifish vocals just might cause the mosh pit to pause and listen for a change.
