The radical industrial-noise hip-hop trio Consolidated opts for stridency rather than fun on Business of Punishment. Over a fog of bass-heavy grooves, staccato beats, and scratchy guitars, these three white males rant against anything and everything that isn't PC (from meat eaters to capital punishment). Borrowing from artists as diverse as Led Zeppelin and Snoop Doggy Dogg, Consolidated's message might be more effective if it took a tip from say, Public Enemy, and lightened up. B-
