Lightweight, speedy, wildly eccentric live-action cartoons like Cyber Ninja are Japan's eye candy of choice these days, both as feature films and TV series. This one mixes samurai swordsmanship with Terminator-like hardware and a Kabuki-style villain. Its baroque stylings make it stand out from similarly aimed American fare, but at heart it's just as silly — and a lot more fun. Slow readers shouldn't worry, as Cyber Ninja is nicely dubbed. B+
